In keeping with our mandate for the development of Radio Control hobbies, we have established linkages with RCers out of the United States to ensure cross-pollination of ideas and to promote the sport here.

We assist in designing and setting up tracks, class rules, organizing meets and assisting in the repairs and maintenance of RC vehicles.

Through our website we provide access to the years of experience of our members, through our Forum radio control enthusiasts and newbies can share solutions and find answers to problems.

We also through affiliation with local Hobby stores can assist in the sourcing of parts and Accessories, everything necessary to keep the RC hobby enthusiast growing and developing.

Sport is a big part of life in Jamaica, and the RCAJ intends to make the sport of Radio Control Model Racing a part of the Jamaican sporting calendar, we intend to do this by organizing and participating in sporting and media events.

But further we believe that it is an obligation of any sport organizing body to maximize the positive impact that sport can have on a community, we intend to do this by ensuring that the participants in our sporting events display only the best behavior and sportsmanship and by creating innovative ways in which spectators can become a part of the sport

Thus spreading the positive values that come from participating in a well organized and managed sport – discipline, drive, the desire to improve oneself and an understanding and appreciation of what a true sportsman is from observing sporting behavior in our events.

One of our projects involves the community of Fairy Hill in Portland where working with the local founder and organizer of an Off-road radio Control track called NORT we have started an event where the youths in the community are allowed to drive RC vehicles in a 3 minute timed lap event, and the person with the best results being awarded his own Radio Control vehicle.

This will eventually allow us to have race meets with a beginner class just for community kids.
